WHAT IS HIFU?
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, also known as ‘HIFU’, ‘non-surgical face lift’, ‘lunchtime face lift’ or ‘Focus Dual’ has become one of the most sought-after lifting, firming, and tightening treatments for face and neck. HIFU uses Focused Ultrasound to target the deep structural layers of the skin with heat, which it does without damaging the skin’s surface. Focus Dual HIFU is one of the few treatments that can reach the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS)—which was previously accessible only via surgery. The result is a natural lift with virtually no downtime. The heat generated in the skin stimulates the cells to produce strong, new collagen and kick-start dormant collagen. As collagen production increases up to 12 weeks post treatment, this results in a more youthful and refreshed look.
WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?
You will be invited for a complimentary Skin Analysis & Consultation to discuss your skin concerns and areas for treatment. Once the treatment is confirmed we will book you in for your course of treatments. Each treatment will include an Ultimate cleanse, we will then draw out the areas on the face, apply a cooling gel to the areas before placing the device on the skin. We will do three passes, each time using a different handpiece to target all three layers within the skin. Once the treatment is complete you will then have specific serums and an SPF applied.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
Due to the non-invasive nature of HIFU treatments, there is virtually no downtime. You may experience slight redness following the treatment, and a small percentage of clients do experience minor swelling, tingling or tenderness. These symptoms are mild and temporary.
You will be able to return to your normal activities straight away, and there are no special recovery measures needed. This is why HIFU has earned the name “lunchtime face lift”
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
The most common areas for treatment are the jowls, jaw and neck but you can also perform this treatment on the full face including around the eye area.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT FEEL LIKE? You may experience some mild heating or a slight tingling sensation during treatment, this can become more intense over bony areas. Clients describe this as moderate and acceptable
WHAT MAKES FOCUS DUAL HIFU SO UNIQUE? Safety Assist Transducers (SAT) are used with the HIFU handpiece allowing for a much safer controlled delivery of ultrasound waves, unlike other machines this makes the treatment much more comfortable.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED? To gain the best results it is recommended to have between 1-3 treatments. These treatments are spaced out at eight to twelve week intervals. This can be followed by 1-2 yearly maintenance treatments.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS? Results can usually be seen immediately, but the results get better and better up to 12 weeks post treatment as your collagen is renewed. We expect results to last 1-2 years, but this can be dependent on lifestyle and maintenance
