WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INCLUDE?
You will be invited for a Skin Analysis, Consultation and patch test which is £20 to discuss areas to concern and check suitability for treatment. The facial includes a four step process which includes a resurfacing peel to prime your skin prior to a full face and neck Intense Pulsed Light treatment (IPL) to stimulate collagen and target any discolourations (pigmentation, vascular breakouts, general redness). In most cases the results are instant, providing you with dramatically clearer, firmer skin.
DO I NEED TO PREP FOR THIS TREATMENT?
No but this treatment is not suitable for everyone, this will be discussed in your Skin Analysis & Consultation.
No use of Retinol (Vitamin A) for 2 weeks
Glycolic (AHA's) stopped 7 days either side of treatment.
No Botox or Filler for 4 weeks

​IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
Yes it is possible that your skin may be red for a few hours afterwards Following treatment, you may experience mild stinging, dryness, itching, mild grazing, flakiness, sensitivity to UV or slight redness. This is completely normal and should settle over the next few days. Any pigmentation will appear darker and any red thread veins may be darker in colour or disappear completely. However, you are able to apply light mineral makeup after 12hours.

WHAT MAKES AN ILLUMIFACIAL SO UNIQUE? The combination of two treatments in one which work on multiple levels of the skin to provide the ultimate skin rejuvenation. It treats a whole host of ageing concerns, Reducing acne, wrinkles, pigmentation, redness and it tightens skin to improve texture and tone.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED? To gain the best results it is recommended to have between 1-3 treatments. These treatments are spaced out at eight week intervals. This can be followed by 1-2 yearly maintenance treatments.
HOW DOES THE TREATMENT FEEL? Illumifacial ® is a very quick, comfortable treatment which is designed to provide you with optimum skin health. Some people will feel a slight tingling sensation when the peel is first applied, the IPL aspect can sometimes be mildy uncomfortable and most people descirbe the discomfort as feeling like a quick pin prick and warm feeling which is very tolerable.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS? The Illumifacial ® is a completely non-invasive treatment, using safe, medical grade equipment to minimise side effects. Your skin may be red and slightly swollen immediately after treatment but this will subside very quickly. You may also have some patches of dry skin and in very rare cases, a small blister can form with some temporary lightening or darkening of the skin. However, most people experience no side effects and any reactions usually disappear within a few hours, leaving the skin feeling and looking radiant.
